Does the chiropractor provide any additional services?
Additional services include non-surgical spinal decompression, customized therapeutic exercise programs and any necessary supports, braces and orthotics at no cost to you!
What should I expect during my initial examination?
To see is to know and to not see is to guess and we will never guess when it comes to your health! Your initial visit will include a detailed consult with the doctor, any necessary orthopedic and neurological tests and an X-ray if warranted so that we can get to the root cause of the problem!
Will the chiropractor discuss a treatment plan during my first appointment?
This first appointment is where we gather all of the necessary information to determine the appropriate level of care. With that information, we can make recommendations on your second appointment.
Will the chiropractor adjust me during my first appointment?
We understand how important it is to get on top of your problem sooner or later. Some light work is typically done on the first visit to give us more information about your case, while starting the process of providing you with relief!
Will the chiropractor give any instructions to follow after my first appointment?
At home instructions are always given to decrease pain, increase function and prevent further injury.
How long until I can expect to see results from my first visit?
Many cases see improvement after just the first visit! However, healing usually takes time and repetition. You can’t do one sit up in the gym and expect a six-pack!
Will DTS Therapy treatments hurt? Is it safe?
DTS Therapy treatments are one of the most gentle and comfortable therapies available. The treatments utilize equipment with proven safety and efficacy. Most patients report a mild sense of stretch on their back or hips, and often fall asleep during treatment sessions.
Is decompression therapy new?
Although traction therapy has been around for thousands of years, Decompressive Traction is relatively new. Advances in equipment and procedures have dramatically improved effectiveness. DTS Therapy is the most comprehensive program available, allowing the safe delivery of this previously hospital based therapy in our office. Will my pain go away for good with decompression therapy?
Although it is difficult to predict the future our experience is that most patients do find long-term relief or effective management of their pain when they complete the entire program of treatments. Regular home exercise and periodic visits to our clinic will help in maintaining your spinal health and reduce the probability of reoccurrence. As with any comprehensive rehabilitation program your continued home care exercises and discretion in some daily activities is key to long-term relief.
